Reviews

From the people using it

I really love how simple and intentional the product feels. You press one shortcut, start working, and over time you get a clear visual record of the hours you've put into building something meaningful.

The privacy-first approach makes it even better: no screenshots, no screen recording, no account, and all your data stays on your Mac. It tracks progress without making you feel monitored.

I never realized I needed or wanted an app like this. Build Mode allows me to easily see where I'm spending my time and how much of it I'm spending. Be it in actual “Build Mode” or “Connection Mode” or similar other things.

Super easy to configure as well, so no excuse as to why you aren't using it.

Cliff@CliffWade

It keeps me focused and helps me actually finish the work I keep putting off, because I can see the time I put into it.

Yash@pareyash

I’ve been using it a lot lately to check exactly how I’m spending my build time, and it’s been genuinely useful. I never realized how much I needed something like this until I started tracking the hours properly.

Lars@larsnow

I bought a productivity app 2 months ago and never used it, but Build Mode is an app I use every day.

Very intuitive. Reminds me of Wispr Flow.
